Aim:

To provide an understanding of the importance of a holistic approach to rehabilitation following amputation and the role of the physiotherapist within the multidisciplinary environment.

To include the following plus anything else you feel is relevant:

Identify the key members of the multidisciplinary team and discuss their involvement in the rehabilitation process
Pre and post operative multidisciplinary management
Role of the physiotherapist within the multidisciplinary team
Role of the physiotherapist in the pre-op management of a patient who is about to undergo a lower limb amputation (link to pre-fitiing page in Physiopedia)
