Rachael Lowe - Co-founder, President & Chair

Physiotherapist (UK). Established Physiopedia in 2008 with the ambitious goal of providing free, open access to all physiotherapy knowledge to improve global health. Continues to use her specialist knowledge of the global physiotherapy profession and technology skills to empower physiotherapy professionals worldwide.

Tony Lowe - Co-founder & Technical Director

E-learning consultant (UK). With a background in engineering and education, Tony became fascinated by how the Internet could support teaching. As co-founder, Tony is the technical architect behind Physiopedia.

Elaine Lonnemann

Physical Therapist and Associate Professor (USA). Executive Liaison for Community Outreach and DPT Programme Faculty Member at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.

Brenda Myers

Physiotherapist and former Secretary General of World Physiotherapy (Canada). Led World Physiotherapy from 1995-2016, visiting member organisations across all regions. Brings deep understanding of international collaboration and partnerships.

Our Editorial Community

The heart of Physiopedia is our dedicated editorial team of qualified physiotherapy professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to maintain content quality. This collaborative team brings together knowledge from across the global physiotherapy spectrum.

Quality Assurance Manager

Alexandra Stead - Quality Assurance Manager

Leads content quality and coordinates our global volunteer community of 50+ content editors. Manages the editorial workflow from content review through to publication, ensuring clinical accuracy and evidence-based standards across all resources whilst implementing and continuously improving our Quality Assurance framework.

Content Manager

Vidya Achyra - Content Manager

Supports the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining content standards and volunteer coordination. Assists with content review processes, training development, and editorial operations whilst helping to ensure consistent quality across the platform.

Communications Manager

Lucy Aird - Communications Manager

Manages external communications for Physiopedia, including social media, newsletters, marketing materials, and community engagement. Promotes Physiopedia's mission, impact, and resources to the global physiotherapy community.
