Global Assessment of Functioning Scale

Introduction[edit | edit source]

The Global Assessment of Functioning (GAF) is a scoring system for the severity of illness in psychiatry. The assessments are easier to use and more perceptive of the impacts of different treatments than measurements of individual psychopathology aspects.[1]
