Oxford Scale[edit | edit source]

Muscle strength is often measured using the Oxford scale, which is as follows:

  1. Flicker of movement
  2. Through full range but not against gravity
  3. Through full range against gravity
  4. Through full range with some resistance
  5. Through range with full resistance
