Corticobasal degeneration (CBD), sometimes called corticobasal ganglionic degeneration (CBDG) is a form of [[Parkinsonism]], more specifically a Parkinson-Plus Syndrome. Corticobasal degeneration (CBD), sometimes called corticobasal ganglionic degeneration (CBDG) is a form of Parkinsonism, more specifically a Parkinson-Plus Syndrome. Parkinson-Plus Syndromes are a group of neurodegenerative disorders that present with symptoms typical of Parkinson's Disease (PD) (bradykinesia, apraxia, resting tremor, rigidity, etc.), but may have additional cognitive deficits, dementia, cranial nerve involvement, and do not typically respond well to levodopa intervention.[1] [2]
