Participants must be either enrolled in a physiotherapy course or have completed a physiotherapy course. This prerequisite has been set to ensure the online discussion is appropriate.

The online discussion will be an important aspect of this course and participants will be expected to post at least one comment each week.
 
The online discussion will take place within a closed [https://www.facebook.com/groups/PhysioSCIMOOC/ facebook group].
 
Only participants of the course will be able to post and read discussions within this group. Participants will not be required to share their private facebook pages with other course participants, they will however need to have an account with facebook. Participants are free to set up accounts in aliases names for the course but will be required to identify themselves by at least their first names at the end of each post.

The course will be run in English although participants will only require basic English skills. Participants will be encouraged to be respectful and empathetic to those in whom English is not their first language.

Physiopedia is the largest online resource for our profession in the world. It is a community-created resource and relies on rehabilitation professionals all over the world to create, review, and update content. A major part of this process is undertaken by our volunteer team whose role is to oversee the development of the Physiopedia content. All members of this team are graduates of our Volunteer Orientation Course.

The aim of the Volunteer Orientation Course is to prepare individuals to be a part of the Physiopedia volunteer team.
