Gemellus Inferior

Gemellus inferior: is the second of the gemelli muscles (Superior& Inferior gemellus) ,lies below the obturator internus tendon [2].
Origin:[edit | edit source]
Ischial tuberosity Lower part of lesser sciatic notch
Insertion:[edit | edit source]
Blends with tendon of obturator internus, and gets inserted into medial surface of greater trochanter of femur
Nerve supply:[edit | edit source]
Nerve to quadratus femoris (L4, L5, S1)[3]
Artery :[edit | edit source]
Supplied by medial circumflex femoral artery

Lateral rotators of thigh at the hip joint
