Chondrosarcoma is a form of soft tissue sarcoma that can form anywhere within the body, but usually effects the cartilage of long bones in the extremities, along with the trunk and retroparitoneum. Specifically, chondrosarcoma is a malignant cartilage tumor that is more common in adults over the age of 40.

Chondrosarcoma is the most common malignant cartilage tumor and the second most common bone sarcoma.
