As healthcare providers, we play a crucial role in supporting and promoting successful breastfeeding practices. Research has consistently shown that breastfeeding counselling and mother support provided by healthcare professionals have a positive impact on the duration of exclusive breastfeeding and infant growth and development.
Recognising the numerous benefits of breastfeeding for the infant, mother, family, and community, increasing breastfeeding rates has emerged as an important health-promotion strategy.
