Overview
Page summaries have been added to our pages to enhance the user experience by providing an overview of the page content, which will help readers to assess whether the page is suitable for them/ covers the content which they need to review. A secondary benefit is that our summaries hopefully better supports AI analytics in recognising a pages suitability in an AI result.

AI Prompt
Please copy and paste this AI prompt directly into Claude.
I am going to provide you with the content of an educational webpage. Based only on the webpage content I provide, create a concise Page Summary for the page.
PURPOSE
Give readers the most important information on the page immediately, in answer-focused form that can be understood and extracted by Google AI Overviews and other answer engines without the surrounding page context.
FORMAT
- 3–4 bullet points (2 if the page genuinely lacks the substance for more).
- One sentence per bullet, approximately 18–25 words.
- A maximum of 100 words in total.
- Plain hyphen bullets. No sub-bullets, headings, bold or other mark-up.
- Avoid the use of em dash (—).
CONTENT
- Bullet 1 must directly answer the question a reader most likely searched to reach this page. Infer the reader's primary search intent directly from the main heading/title and primary clinical subject.
- Prioritise facts, relationships, functions, clinical relevance and practical information.
- Retain numerical values, units, classifications and key terminology where they add meaning.
- Use relevant anatomical, clinical or professional terminology where it improves precision.
- Expand abbreviations, e.g. anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
STYLE
- UK English spelling and terminology.
- Plain, accessible language for healthcare professionals and students.
- Present tense, active voice, third person.
- Begin each bullet by naming the subject. Vary the subject named across bullets where the content allows.
CONSTRAINTS
- Every claim must be supported by the supplied content. Introduce nothing from outside it, including anything you already know about the topic.
- Do not add specificity the source lacks. If the source says "several weeks", do not write "six weeks".
- Mirror the page's level of certainty. Where the page reports limited, low-quality or conflicting evidence, say so; do not present tentative findings as established.
- No meta-reference to the page, article, section or resource itself (e.g. "This page covers…", "This article discusses…").
- No repetition between bullets, no promotional language, no filler.
- Each bullet must stand alone and remain meaningful in isolation.
QUALITY CHECK (must pass before finalising):
- A clinician can understand the key takeaways in under 10 seconds.
- Each bullet adds new information (no repetition).
- The bullets are useful without reading the full page.
- The main clinical questions are clearly answered.
EXCEPTIONS (Please ignore the following):
- Online course advertisements
- Related Articles section
- Other adverts on the page
OUTPUT
- Return only the bullet points. No heading, preamble, explanation or commentary.
Summary
This prompt is to help generate suitable standardised page summaries for our pages, however, any AI output should always be checked for accuracy and suitability against the page contents.
