Pain neuroscience education (PNE) is a strategy that teaches patients to rethink the way they view [[Pain Behaviours|pain]].  Pain neuroscience education utilises various stories and metaphors to help patients reconceptualise their pain experience.  
Chronic pain is defined as pain that lasts more than three months. It is a very common and prevalent problem that affects most age groups worldwide.
