Welcome to Vrije Universiteit Brussel's Evidence-based Practice project. This project was created by and for the students in the Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy program of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels, Belgium, and is part of the Musculoskeletal curriculum.

Course Description:[edit | edit source]

This project is a component of the Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy program of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels, Belgium.

Instructions[edit | edit source]

In the time frame October-December 2010 the students will select information concerning one specific pathology from the musculoskeletal field with possible indications for physiotherapy or a test used by physiotherapists. At least three recent high quality scientific references have to be cited to document the presented information.

Objectives[edit | edit source]

The goals of our project are:

  1. all students of the second bachelor year have to develop a personal and efficient literature search strategy
  2. students have to learn to select information necessary to understand specific pathology/complaint (extremities in the second bachelor and spine in the third bachelor)
