About Me[edit | edit source]

As the founder of this website, I am very pleased to be able to bring you the first collaborative website for physiotherapists.

As a physiotherapist who works in e-learning I wanted to bring the international physiotherapy community together with a collaborative website where all physiotherapists throughout the world could work together to produce one extensive and evidence based resource for the physiotherapy community, Physiopedia is what is being developed from this idea.

I am an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist and have worked in the UK and Australia in a variety of different clinical environments and with a variety of clients and clinicians.  I set up a private physiotherapy practice in the UK which developed into three busy clinics with a small team of physiotherapists.  I then became interested in producing e-learning materials for the education of physiotherapists which is where the present focus of my work is. I am currently a Director of Webducate where we develop bespoke and innovative distance learning resources and consult on all aspects of e-learning for health care education. I have also founded CPDspot which provides support for health professionals with their continual professional development, and under this umbrella have developed Physiospot, a series of research blogs which highlight clinically relevant research, myCPDspot, an online portfolio system, and now Physiopedia.
