"I feel the physical therapist is the practitioner of choice for conservative treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. Therapists are trained to look at the human machine as a whole and therefore develop the skills to not only treat the disease, but identify and intervene with the "WHY" is the disease present and not healing. Even our post-surgical patient's need skilled therapy to assist them with returning to maximum function, even if the surgery was perfect.  With the help of our medical colleagues in certain cases, I feel the key to healing is finding the right recipe of exercise and manual therapy, with an emphasis on patient education and empowerment."
