Being the Content Manager for Physiopedia is such an exciting role. With over 4,000 pages and over 2 million visitors from the world each month it is important to monitor the pages for quality and ensuring they are up to date with relevant information and the latest evidence.  That is a big task but luckily I do not have to do this alone, I am part of a large content team, physiotherapists from all over the world who volunteer their time to help with the Physiopedia mission - '''to contribute to global health through universal access to physiotherapy knowledge'''.  I have to say I have the best role in Physiopedia, there is always something to do and new things to learn.

When I took on the challenge of Content Manager  I was not quite sure what to expect, and that has not changed, there are no two days that are the same and my tasks are forever-evolving. My job involves developing, monitoring and reviewing the content on Physiopedia.  Much of the content on Physiopedia is created by a group of awesome volunteers and through Content Development ProjectsWe all work remotely and the team is distributed globally, this can sometimes be a challenge but mostly brings great rewards and the benefit of learning from a diverse group with differing experiences.
Being a part of this team has allowed me to truly appreciate the incredible scale and scope of Physiopedia's impact. Every day, we work tirelessly to ensure that the information presented on our platform is not only up-to-date but also evidence-based. It's an enormous task, but thanks to the hard work of our team, we're able to make a real difference in the lives of millions of people who rely on Physiopedia for reliable and accurate physiotherapy knowledge.

All in all, I couldn't ask for a more fulfilling role in Physiopedia. There's always something new to learn and exciting opportunities to explore, and I'm constantly amazed by the dedication and passion of our team members. Working for Physiopedia is truly a dream job, and I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of such an inspiring community of people.

About Me[edit | edit source]

I did my Physiotherapy training at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. After qualifying, I worked for the NHS and then moved into private practice both in the UK and in St Lucia, a small island in the Caribbean. I have a passion for Neuro and Rehabilitation which are skills I have brought to my work in private practice. I also use the same skills when working with musculoskeletal conditions and sports; I have a passion for analysing biomechanics to improve performance and prevent injuries.

I am the Physiopedia Manager and also manage the resources for the Resource Repository, which is a great place to find resources on health and rehabilitations. I enjoy writing and I used to write a weekly column for a national newspaper, in St Lucia, to educate and inform the public on general health and well-being.

What I Do For Physiopedia[edit | edit source]

As the Physiopedia Manager, I have an awesome job that keeps me busy with various tasks. With over 5,000 pages and 2 million visitors from across the globe each month, one of my roles is to monitor the pages for quality and ensuring they are up to date with relevant information and the latest evidence. Though it may seem like a daunting responsibility, I'm grateful for the help of our large, dynamic volunteer content team. Our team is made up of physiotherapists from around the world who generously volunteer their time to help further Physiopedia's mission of promoting global health through universal access to physiotherapy knowledge.
