About Me
I am a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Huddersfield and have been lecturing for the last 5 years. Since qualifying as a physiotherapist, I have completed an MSc in Musculoskeletal Healthcare and also a Ph.D. in Pain management. This led me to undertake post-doctoral research positions investigating the use of mirror therapy for upper-limb function in hemiparetic cerebral palsy and systematic reviews and clinical studies in the area of physical rehabilitation in older people and after stroke. My clinical background is in the acute hospital setting working across all areas of ortho, medical, and surgical provision alongside MSK. I love teaching and linking this with research and evidence-based practice and run a podcast with students about Evidence-Base Practice and academic skills. I love to learn and help others to learn, so I'm very excited to take a role in and contribute to this amazing project.
