About Me

Dr. McGovern is a board certified sports physical therapist, certified strength and conditioning specialist, and licensed athletic trainer. Dan has been training and rehabilitating athletes from youth to professional levels for over two decades. He has managed outpatient sports medicine facilities at a large Boston teaching hospital and a prominent private university. He has earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut. Dan is a certified Graston Technique provider and a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor. He also serves as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for "Today in PT”.
