Edinburgh Handedness Inventory (EHI)

Purpose[edit | edit source]

It is used to quantitatively ascertain the hand laterality of the subject in activities of daily living (ADL).[1]

Method of Use[edit | edit source]

The 20-item questionnaire contains instructions to be followed during administration. Items are rated either by direct observation or by self-report. Oldfield also developed a shorter 10-item version that is used more often.[1]
