I currently have a faculty-appointment as Assistant Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Therapy at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.[edit | edit source]
My research work includes:
1) Evaluation of the impact of a seniors-driven model of aging-in-place (www.oasis-aging-in-
place.com) on mobility, physical activity, and other health-related variables.
2) Exploring how therapeutic strategies such as such as instruction, feedback, guidance, and
supervised and unsupervised practice impact motor learning and function.
3) Use of wearable technology as a tool for the measurement and promotion of gait and walking
activity in rehabilitation populations.
4) Promotion of optimal acute and rehabilitation stroke care in low-resource environments with
the Organized Stroke Care Across Income Levels (www.oscailstudy.com)
