Rob Shapiro is one of the Founding Partners of Gold Coast Physical Therapy, which became part of the Professional family in 2014. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Touro College with a Masters in Physical Therapy. Rob is residency trained through the Kaiser Permanente three-month mentorship program in San Francisco, California, a 520-hour program with an emphasis on manual Physical Therapy. He has trained with nationally renowned Physical Therapists and Osteopaths in both the United States and Canada. Rob became a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist in September 2003 through the Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Group, and was also an Adjunct Professor at Touro College and New York Institute of Technology.
Rob specializes in correcting muscle imbalances, postural alignment, and body mechanics to facilitate full recovery using muscle energy techniques, spinal mobilization/manipulation, prescriptive exercises, strain-counter-strain, myofascial release, Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT), the Hesch Method, and Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT).
