I qualified in 1982 at the University of Cape Town with BSc Physiotherapy (Hon). 1983 to 1985 I worked at Mpilo Hospital, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. 1986 I worked at Mater Dei Hospital Bulawayo Zimbabwe, 1987 at King George VI Rehabilitation Centre Bulawayo Zimbabwe. 1988 - 2000 I did short term locums for a range of private practitioners including MacIntosh and Musa, Rhona Hayes and Mater Dei Hospital. From November 2014 I have been in my own private practise Brand and Coltart, Bulawayo Zimbabwe. I have served on the Bulawayo Branch of the Zimbabwe Physiotherapy Association as Chairman for 2 years (not consecutive) and am currently on the committee as organiser of the Continuing Professional Development.
