I graduated as a physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in March 2004 in South Africa. | |||
My early clinical experience in South Africa was quite varied. After graduating I worked in a major tertiary hospital in Cape Town where we treated patients in various specialised ICU's and wards including Neuro, Spinal, Medical, Orthopedic, Vascular, General Surgery and Cardiac. | |||
I later worked in a rural out patient setting treating various orthopedic, neurological and pediatric patients. Due to the lack of staff and infrastructure I performed home visits, issued patients with various assistive devices and assisted with community education and outreach programs. | |||
I was also privileged to work in a well established private practice in South Africa where the focus was sport injuries, musculoskeletal conditions and general geriatric conditions. | |||
In 2008 I received a job offer and moved to the Saudi Arabia were I worked in a military hospital for 7 years. I started as a senior therapist in the orthopedic out patient setting. I was later promoted and served as team lead for the female in patient team which serviced all areas including neuro, oncology, orthopedics and ICU. I graduated as a physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in March 2004 in South Africa.
