In addition to working as a Learning Architect with Physioplus, I am a full time faculty member in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Baylor University where I teach anatomy, clinical neuroscience, neuromuscular practice, and advanced patient management. Ours is a hybrid program, with didactic work being done online both synchronously and asynchronously, followed by immersive, in-person lab experiences where the students practice their hands-on skills.  I am proud to serve as faculty advisor to our student-led CARE Council, part of our initiative to support our students and to build our culture in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion.  My regard for increasing representation in our profession in the United States to match the diversity in our population has also led me to involvement in the APTA "PT Moves Me" Ambassadorship program and its efforts to connect with and attract youth from diverse backgrounds.

My clinical experience has involved a range of settings, including inpatient acute care, hospital-based outpatient, home health, inpatient rehabilitation, and private practice. Although I have worked with people managing a variety of health conditions including musculoskeletal dysfunction, burns/wounds and limb loss, from the beginning I have been fascinated with and sought practice in the area of neurologic rehabilitation. I became board certified as a neurologic clinical specialist in 2013.

My experiences living and working in various locations around the world - Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Germany and Kenya as well as the United States - have helped me form a broader perspective as I endeavor to affect growth in the realms of physiotherapist practice and the provision of rehabilitation services. I am very excited at the potential of my work with Physioplus to impact the health and wellbeing of people around the globe. I like to believe that we are all in this together!
