Profile[edit | edit source]
I became interested in physical therapy after an injury on the softball field required that I undergo PT myself. My professional interests include prevention and rehabilitation of shoulder and elbow injuries (especially pertaining to the overhead throwing athlete), treatment and mobilization of spinal and pelvic malarticulations, treatment of the neurologic patient, and wound care. Currently I am taking part in a project in which four of my classmates and I will be teaching parents of children with various disabilities aquatic therapy routines. This project is being developed with the hope that such a program will both decrease the need for the children's attendance at regular physical therapy and promote social interaction by the child with their family and peers.
