Martina is a Prosthetist / Orthotist (PO) from Australia. Since graduating from La Trobe University, Melbourne in 2005 she has worked in Australia, Singapore and Croatia focusing primarily on amputee rehabilitation and fine tuning her prosthetic fitting and fabrication skills. The vast majority of her career has been devoted to the humanitarian sector, working with organisations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Humanity and Inclusion (HI) in a number of low and middle income countries including Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Georgia and Libya. In addition to managing projects, providing technical support and hands-on training she is passionate about strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst rehabilitation professionals with the ultimate goal of improving access, efficiency and overall quality of services.

The vast majority of her career has been devoted to working with organizations including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Humanity and Inclusion (HI) in a number of low and middle income countries including Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Georgia and Libya. In addition to managing projects, providing technical support and hands-on training she has focused on strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst rehabilitation professionals with the ultimate goal of improving access, efficiency and overall quality of services. Martina has a deep understanding of the rehabilitation sector and is passionate about elevating PO services with a view towards broadening and enhancing the sector overall. Her most recent work involves research around determining the most effective outcome measures for persons with lower limb absence, presented at the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics World Congress (2021). Martina is currently working with Physiopedia as PO representative for the USAID funded project; Learning, Acting and Building for Rehabilitation in Health Systems (ReLAB-HS).
