Born in former Yugoslavia, I moved to London, Ontario, Canada at a young age due to the civil war happening back home. I have always had an interest in physical activity and helping people. Physiotherapy is a profession that combines both of my passions and allows me to utilize exercise and education as medicine to the patients that I interact with daily. I have a special interest in working with chronic pain patients and utilizing pain sciences as an effective form of treatment. As well, I implement exercise and manual therapy as my other primary practice philosophies to treatment. Currently, I work as an acute care physiotherapist on the inpatient orthopaedic/trauma floor as well as a private practice clinician in an orthopaedic outpatient clinic. Seeing the role of a physiotherapist in two completely different settings has allowed me to handle a wide variety of patient presentations, personalities and goals; as well as being able to work both individually in the clinic and as part of a health care team at the hospital. I am new to the profession, however, strive to learn and develop my skill set on a daily basis to become the best clinician I can be. | Born in former Yugoslavia, I moved to London, Ontario, Canada at a young age due to the civil war happening back home.
