| == Name == | | == About Me == |
| | I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of the Western Cape where I conduct research into the use of emerging technologies to change teaching and learning practices in undergraduate physiotherapy education. My PhD evaluated the use of technology-mediated practices in clinical education, and resulted in the development of a set of design principles for creating blended learning environments. I continue conducting research into the use of digital technology in the classroom and exploring its influence on teacher and student relationships as part of the learning process. I publish and present my research at national and international conferences in both clinical and mainstream education. You can find my research [http://www.mrowe.co.za/blog/research-profile/ here]. |

| I'm a physiotherapy educator based at a university in the Western Cape of South Africa. I'm interested in social media and other emerging technologies to facilitate enhanced teaching and learning practice in physiotherapy education. I graduated with a Masters degree in 2008, after looking at the use of information and communication technologies by South African physiotherapy students and universities.<br>
