After two years I returned to Bulgaria where I worked in a private practice, mainly clients with neuro-and musculoskeletal problems.
The travel bug got to me and I relocated to Bahrain working as Exercise and Massage Therapist in 2000-2002.
Moved to England in 2002 and lived here ever since.

Life took me to many different paths until 2010 when I joined the physiotherapy team in private hospital in London as a physiotherapy assistant.
As I wanted to improve my English I moved to England in 2002. Due to some restrictions, I was only able to work as Senior Healthcare Assistant at the time. Invaluable experience as working with elderly residents with Alzheimer's and Dementia has thought me the importance of person-centered care and encouraging independence where possible as well as being able to assess cognitively the needs and abilities of our service users. Witnessing first hand the challenges our service users had to deal with every day: impaired mobility, behavioural changes, loss of communication and social circle have had great impact on my determination to continue on my path towards registering as a professional.
Currently employed as Lead Physiotherapy Assistant and Manual Handling Co-ordinator.
Working mostly in Inpatient settings with Orthopaedic patients. As part of my duties, I'm involved in pre-operative assessment to patients for elective surgeries, inpatient care, and post-operative treatment.
As Manual Handling Co-ordinator I provide Moving and Handling training to our hospital staff as well as guidance and advice with regards to moving and handling practice.

My goal is to become full time Physiotherapist. To keep up-to-date I am using Physiopedia Plus for online courses and research literature.<br>
