About Me

As a physical therapist and firefighter with over two decades of combined experience, I have dedicated my career to serving others and promoting health and safety in my community. With a passion for professional growth and a commitment to making a difference, I strive to excel in both fields while advocating for the advancement of physical therapy worldwide.
My journey began 14 years ago when I embarked on a career as a physical therapist. Guided by a desire to help individuals overcome musculoskeletal and orthopedic disorders, I embraced the challenges and rewards of this noble profession. Over the years, I have specialized in sports physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation, honing my skills to support athletes and individuals in their journey to recovery and optimal performance. In addition to my role as a physical therapist, I have proudly served as a firefighter for 12 years now, protecting lives and property as a member of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in the Philippines. As a firefighter, I have witnessed firsthand the importance of physical health and resilience in the face of adversity. My experience in the field has shaped my understanding of the human body and the critical role of rehabilitation in promoting recovery and well-being.
Currently, I am enrolled in the Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy program with the University of Montana - Rehab Essentials. This educational pursuit reflects my commitment to professional excellence and lifelong learning. By expanding my knowledge and expertise, I aim to enhance my ability to provide high-quality care to my patients and fellow firefighters.
As a staff physical therapist and policy maker with the BFP, I play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to promote health and safety within the organization. I prioritize continuing professional development, actively seeking postgraduate courses and seminars to stay abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy and rehabilitation medicine.
My involvement as a social media ambassador for the BFP during the COVID-19 Pandemic and my experience in organizing conferences and sports events for BMX Freestyle and Skating have allowed me to connect with diverse audiences and promote awareness of important issues related to health and safety. I am deeply committed to empowering communities and fostering collaboration to address the unique challenges they face.
One of my passions is advocating for the advancement of physical therapy worldwide. I believe that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves access to quality rehabilitation services. Through partnerships with organizations like World Physiotherapy and volunteering at Physiopedia, I am dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote education, training, and capacity-building in countries, especially those in the developing world.
In my professional endeavors, I am fluent in both my local tongue (Tagalog) and the English language, and I am committed to bridging language barriers by providing translation services for professional documents and materials. By making information accessible to diverse audiences, I strive to promote inclusivity and empower individuals to take charge of their health and well-being.
In conclusion, my journey as a physical therapist and firefighter has been defined by a commitment to service, a dedication to excellence, and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others. As I continue to grow and evolve in my career, I remain steadfast in my mission to promote health, safety, and resilience in my community and beyond.
