About Me
[edit | edit source]

I am a lecturer of the physiotherapy discipline at the University of Canberra and a practicing physiotherapy clinician and researcher. My reserach investigated the effects of passive joint mobilisations on acute ankle injuries using a randomised controlled trial and demonstrated the addition of a talocrural mobilisation to the RICE protocol in the management of ankle inversion injuries necessitated fewer treatments to achieve pain-free dorsiflexion and to improve stride speed more than RICE alone. Interests are: Physiotherapy Legislation and Ethics, Clinical reasoning, Quality and Safety in Physiotherapy, Chronic pain, Low Back Pain and Sporting Injuries, particularly Ankle Injuries.
