I work a senior lecturer at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen (The Netherlands), dept. of physiotherapy. My main areas of expertise are public health, social aspects of health, back pain and amputees. I have a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy and a master's degree (MSc.) in medical sociology. I have worked for several years in a rehabilitation centre and private practice as a physiotherapist. I perform applied research in the field of (psycho)social and cultural aspects of back pain.
