MScPT Student at Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada)

Before applying to the physical therapy program at Queen’s, I accumulated approximately 200 hours of volunteer physiotherapy experience, the vast majority of which was in an orthopedic private practice setting. Since then I have completed one 6-week placement at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital in the Geriatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Service.

I come from an athletic background, and highly value an active lifestyle. I graduated this from Old Dominion University in Virginia, where I was a student-athlete on the rowing team for 5 years. I graduated with degrees in Biology and Exercise Science. I have held many paid and volunteer coaching positions in rowing, working with athletes of all ages, abilities, and skill-levels including seniors and para-athletes.

I have just completed my first year in the physical therapy program and have taken courses in musculoskeletal physiotherapy assessment and management, professional practice, cardiorespiratory function, spinal disorders, and neuromotor anatomy and function.
