Rebecca Jo Brinkworth

About Me

I am currently a first year student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky.  In 2009, I began working as a physical therapist technician at the University of Louisville Hospital to obtain knowledge and experience in physical therapy.  At U of L, I have the opportunity to work with patients with a wide variety of conditions including orthopedics, trauma, neurology, geriatrics, and burns.  After developing such a passion for the profession, I wanted to gain experience in different physical therapy settings.  While attending Indiana University, I completed an internship at Southern Indiana Orthopedics, an outpatient orthopedic clinic.  In April 2013, I traveled to Lusaka, Zambia.  There, I volunteered for a local physical therapy clinic and had the opportunity to travel to local children's compounds.
