I am currently a MSc Physiotherapy student entering the second year of my course in United Kingdom. Prior to this, I was volunteering at a Sports Medicine Clinic in Toronto, Canada shadowing physiotherapists and chiropractors over the course of a year. There, I gained an understanding of the roles and responsibilities various Allied Health Professionals are required to fulfill in order to provide successful outcomes and solidified my admiration for the profession of physiotherapy as a whole. I have been involved in sport ever since my early childhood, participating in basketball, baseball, football, and track. As I develop as a professional, I intend to sculpt my expertise towards working with professional sports teams- a role I feel I would enjoy and be very satisfied with; however, in the next 5-7 years, I realized I need to work in varying healthcare backgrounds in order to develop a broad academic foundation.
