About Me

My name is Pascal Kayishema. I have more than 8 years of experience in providing physiotherapy services in both clinics/ hospitals and community-based rehabilitation. Throughout my career, I learnt that the information makes part of the behaviour change. I had a chance to manage rehabilitation programs at the countrywide level in east Africa and used my communication skills to promote the programs as well as development of partnerships. My digital skills and bilingualism (French and English) have driven me to different positions in Canada including but not limited:

• The creation of supportive and professional relationships to support newcomers with their personnel needs in creating a life that is meaningful for them, and in which they experience their own sense of value without any kind of functional limitation.
• Provide support to persons with physical disability to access rehabilitation services in both clinic and community-based rehabilitation.
• Providing medical training on Ponseti Technic for treatment of congenital clubfoot and participated in elaboration and setting of functional rehabilitation standards of quality of services.

Working in social project management and as a communication officer led me use soft skills including social media and web management to provide information to people in needs. Being a Physiopedia volunteer allows me to serve beyond self, because everyone has something to give.
I am client’s satisfaction oriented, humble, compassionate and respect the difference.
