About Me

I am a physiotherapist and neurorehabilitation researcher based in Nigeria, with clinical and academic experience in hospital and research settings. I have managed patients across acute and subacute stages of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently work as a Research Assistant at Obafemi Awolowo University, where I support manuscript development, ethical approvals, data documentation, and academic research coordination.
My clinical background includes internship training at a tertiary teaching hospital (Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital Complex, Nigeria), with rotations across neurology, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary (including ICU care), pediatrics, geriatrics, and community physiotherapy, as well as clinical affiliation at a national orthopedic centre in Nigeria. My research interests focus on neurological rehabilitation, particularly Guillain-Barré syndrome, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and tele-rehabilitation in low-resource settings.
I have contributed to systematic reviews, clinical trials, original research, scoping reviews, and clinical case reports focused on rehabilitation outcomes, cultural influences in physiotherapy practice, and the development of context-specific rehabilitation approaches. I am currently expanding my interest into cardiopulmonary physiotherapy through continuing professional development, alongside my established work in neurorehabilitation. Outside clinical and academic work, I enjoy fitness, swimming, and playing tennis.
