I am a first year physical therapy student at Bellarmine University. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University. I have shadowed inpatient, outpatient, and geriatric settings. I have an interest in working with amputees and geriatrics. However, I am open to all fields.

About Me

I am a first generation Ethiopian American with a love for people, science, and cultures. I love meeting new people and finding a connection with each person. Through health care, I can combine this with my understanding of biomechanics to bring about healing, not just treatment. Healing addresses the mind and body, not just the physical ailments of the patient.
Coming through for someone, educating them, encouraging them to dig deep and find that strength to continue, and seeing them overcome obstacles is incredibly rewarding. I feel that I have what it takes to be what my patients need. I am a motivator, a listener, and a compassionate person. I know physical therapy is my calling due to the intimate patient care and interaction necessary to reach rehabilitation.

I graduated Baylor University in 2010 with a major in Biology and a minor in Medical Humanities. My studies helped shape my interests in science and health care. My college experience consisted of staying active with intramural sports, demonstrating leadership as an R.A. in the dormitories, and exhibiting grace in the scholarship pageant I placed 2nd in and earned a hefty scholarship.
I am currently attending the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. I am a member of the class of 2013. I feel so fortunate to be blessed with the opportunity to pursue such a rewarding career.
