About Me[edit | edit source]

I am a first year student in the Queen's MScPT program and am currently completing an article for the Queen's University Neuromotor Function Project.

At the same time I am a graduate level researcher. My research primarily focuses on the molecular and cellular underpinnings of neurological conditions. Currently, my doctoral research is looking at targeting an astrocytic channel in order to improve the prognosis of patients following ischemic stroke, with a specific focus on potassium currents. On the other hand, my epidemiological research focused on examining the impact of single nucleotide polymorphisms on an individuals’ risk for autism spectrum disorders.
