User:Marshall Hagins

Marshall Hagins, PT, PhD, DPT, OCS is currently an Associate Professor with the Division of Physical Therapy at Long Island University in downtown Brooklyn, NY. He is a senior research consultant for the Harkness center for Dance Injuries and owns a private practice called Brooklyn Arts Physical Therapy which specializes in dance medicine. Dr. Hagins has published in the areas of lower extremity biomechanics, breath control related to lifting tasks, dance medicine, the measurement of energy expenditure and yoga in journals such as Spine, Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy and the European Journal of Applied Biomechanics. Dr. Hagins teaches musculoskeletal content with the LIU DPT program. He is current funded from the NIH to compare the effects of yoga to conventional exercise on blood pressure
