Maria Galve Villa qualified as a nurse in 2001 by the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and continued her career to qualify as a physiotherapist in 2005 in Madrid (Spain). While working as a clinical physiotherapist at the HSE in Dublin (2006-2014), she completed a MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2011 at University College Dublin.

In 2014 Maria was appointed Specialist Pain Physiotherapist in the Pain and Headache clinic in Aarhus University Hospital (Denmark) where she is developing her role, learning a new language and satisfying her natural curiosity through research. She is also a guest lecturer in University College Nordjylland in Aalborg (Denmark).

Maria has developed a special interest in education and the treatment of CRPS. She is a member of the IASP and of the CRPS special interest group.
