I graduated from the Auckland University of Technology in 2004 and completed my early rotations at Middlemore Hospital before specialising in neurological rehabilitation. I have a special interest in Spinal Cord Injuries, having worked at the Royal Rehabilitation Centre in Sydney in both the acute and the outreach settings. Whilst in Sydney, I assisted with research specific to hand function in tetraplegia.
I also have experience in stroke rehabilitation through North Shore Hospital and have provided supervision for undergraduates on the rehab wards. Recently I have also developed skills in the treatment of concussion and vestibular clients.
I am a member of the Physiotherapy Society of New Zealand, belonging to both the Neurology and the Older Adults Special Interest Groups. My focus is on the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients in order to achieve meaningful and person specific goals.
