Lurinda is an Occupational Therapist who qualified at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2005. She subsequently completed her Masters degree in Early Childhood Intervention at the Centre for Alternative and Augmentative Communication in 2007. She has completed both her Basic Paediatric (8 week) NDT training, as well as the Advanced NDT Baby course. She is also trained up to Intermediate level in Wheelchair and Seating Service Delivery, and completed her Sensory Integration Theory and Test Mechanics courses. After working as the Senior Therapist in the Paediatric Department of a government hospital (Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria) for five years, she is now the Program Director of Hambisela, a project of the Cerebral Palsy Association – Eastern Cape.
