I am a student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. I am on track to graduate with a DPT in December of 2012. I also attended Bellarmine University for my undergraduate studies and I will recieve my Bachelor's in Health Sciences in May of 2011. I chose physical therapy for my profession because I have seen first hand the ability that therapy has to help people and make a lasting impact on the lives of others. Growing up I had several close family members and friends with disabilities and I know firsthand how physical therapists can maximize a person's physical abilities while being a source of encouragement for patients and their families. Being able to help others in this capacity is my goal in recieving a degree in phsycial therapy.
