My name is Laura and I am currently a Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Regis University in Denver, CO. I have a strong background in Exercise Sciences. I completed my Bachelor of Applied Science in Exercise Science at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia in 2001. I have published a paper in the Journal of Applied Physiology titled "Effect of carbohydrate ingestion on exercise-induced alterations in metabolic gene expression". (Cluberton et al, 2005: under my maiden name). I have been a personal trainer for 10 years, as well as a Yoga instructor, ski instructor and physical therapy technician,each for 2 years. I am interested in the area of orthopaedic manual physical therapy, especially of the lower extremity. I am thoroughly enjoying my studies in physical therapy currently and look forward to what the future holds for me with this exciting and fulfilling carreer I have chosen!
