Krishnakali Das

I am a physiotherapist and PhD researcher based in Glasgow, specialising in neurorehabilitation and exercise-based interventions for people with neurological and long-term conditions.

My PhD research bridges clinical research and real-world practice by designing person-centred, evidence-based interventions informed by evidence synthesis, co-design methodologies, and quantitative approaches. I am particularly interested in translating physiological and clinical evidence into practical rehabilitation strategies that can be implemented in routine care.

My broader research interests include rehabilitation of long-term conditions, neuroscience, and exercise physiology, with additional focus on motor control, human movement analysis, bowel disorders, and translational research.

Alongside my research, I work as an occasional lecturer, teaching research methodology to MSc students. I contribute to the delivery of lectures and interactive sessions, supporting students in developing skills in study design, critical appraisal, and the application of evidence-based practice.

Outside of research and academia, I enjoy reading novels and watching films, particularly in the animation, adventure, and fantasy genres — even better when all three are combined!
