Kathryn Haskins completed undergraduate studies at Shenandoah University and graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. While attending SU, she also played varsity softball where she was named an ESPN Academic-All American. Kathryn attended Shenandoah University for Physical Therapy school as well, and graduated first in her class with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has a passion for education and has completed course work in areas of joint and soft tissue mobilization, kinesiology taping, functional exercise, and vestibular rehabilitation. Kathryn has also been trained in Trigger Point Dry Needling and has obtained a certification through Myopain Seminars as a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT). Although her primary area of interest is orthopedics she also has experience in home care physical therapy, and in-patient rehabilitation based physical therapy.
Kathryn’s treatment approach includes identifying the source of the underlying dysfunction rather than chasing pain and treating solely the patient’s symptoms. Kathryn utilizes manual techniques, corrective exercise, and patient education to treat the source of dysfunction in order for patients to return to optimal functional level without any pain.
