I am a physical therapy student at Bellarmine University. I am interested in working in an outpatient orthopaedic clinical setting. Currently, I am involved in a community partner project with Dr. Gina Pariser that focuses on diabetes management. The Active Steps program involves helping the underserved population manage,control, and understand the condition of diabetes. I am involved in assessing blood pressures, heart rates, and blood glucose levels with participants. I have also had an opportunity to conduct an exercise session with the participants. We have also performed testing for the participants to see if the program is effective. Upon graduation, I will plan to establish myself in an orthopaedic setting.
