About Me

I am a UK-based Physiotherapist currently working as a Band 5 Physiotherapist in Plymouth, with a strong clinical background spanning musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-operative rehabilitation settings. I completed my MSc in Advanced Professional Practice in Physiotherapy at the University of Plymouth in 2024, building on my Bachelor of Physiotherapy from St. John’s Medical College.
I began my UK career in musculoskeletal physiotherapy at New Hall Hospital, where I managed a varied caseload of pre- and post-operative patients across inpatient and outpatient services. During this time, I developed expertise in orthopaedic rehabilitation, particularly following hip, knee, and spinal surgeries, while also supporting student education and contributing to service delivery through administrative and clinical coordination roles.
I now work in a specialist neurological setting at Waters Park House, where I provide rehabilitation for individuals with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injuries. My role involves comprehensive assessment and delivery of individualised treatment programmes aimed at improving mobility, function, and independence. I have a particular interest in hydrotherapy, using it as an effective modality to manage spasticity, enhance balance and gait, and improve cardiovascular fitness. I work closely within multidisciplinary teams and play an active role in discharge planning, staff training, and the development of clinical protocols.
Prior to relocating to the UK, I gained valuable experience in India as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Aadithya Medical and Rehabilitation Centre. There, I treated a wide range of orthopaedic and post-surgical conditions using a combination of manual therapy, electrotherapy, and exercise-based rehabilitation. My early clinical training included extensive rotational internships across multiple specialties, including neuro, paediatrics, cardiopulmonary, and critical care, giving me a well-rounded foundation in physiotherapy practice.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP). I am committed to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development, and I have completed additional training in shoulder injuries and anterior cruciate ligament rehabilitation.
Alongside my clinical work, I have contributed to academic and research-based projects, including a systematic review on Ankylosing Spondylitis during my Master’s degree and a literature review on post-COVID rehabilitation during my undergraduate studies.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and value maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which complements my professional passion for helping patients regain movement and independence.
