About Me

I am a Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) registered physiotherapist currently working in a sports rehabilitation hospital, where I manage a diverse range of patients including national-level athletes, individuals with musculoskeletal conditions, and neurological patients. My clinical practice focuses on musculoskeletal rehabilitation, sports physiotherapy, and neurological rehabilitation, supporting patients to restore movement, improve performance, and safely return to daily activities and sport.

I graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Physiotherapy (Second Class Upper Division) from the Department of Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. During my undergraduate training, I gained broad clinical exposure across multiple healthcare settings and developed strong skills in clinical reasoning, functional assessment, and patient-centred rehabilitation. I was also awarded a Distinction in Paediatric Physiotherapy.

In my current role, I am actively involved in the assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, sports-related conditions, and neurological impairments. Working with national-level athletes has strengthened my interest in sports physiotherapy, exercise-based rehabilitation, and performance optimisation, while my experience with neurological and general population patients continues to expand my understanding of functional rehabilitation and recovery.

Alongside my clinical work, I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Medical Statistics at University of Kelaniya (from 2025 onwards). This postgraduate training is helping me strengthen my knowledge in research methodology, statistical analysis, and evidence-based practice.

My research interests include biomechanics, posture, physical activity, exercise rehabilitation, and human anatomy. I am particularly interested in exploring how movement analysis and structured exercise interventions can improve rehabilitation outcomes, prevent injury, and enhance functional performance.

I am passionate about helping individuals build confidence, resilience, and trust in their bodies through rehabilitation. I believe physiotherapy plays an important role not only in treating injury and dysfunction, but also in promoting long-term health, physical performance, and quality of life.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy travelling, creative activities, and continuous learning, which help me maintain balance and bring fresh perspectives to my professional development.
