About Me[edit | edit source]

DELALI.jpeg

I am a physiotherapist with 13 years of working experience. I have worked in the private and public sectors. In 2011, I worked briefly with a school where I provided therapy for kids with special needs. In 2012, I worked in a teaching hospital for 8 years. During that time I developed skills that made it possible for me to be involved in the mentorship and training of physiotherapy students. I served on the quality assurance committee of the department and that of the hospital. We were able to develop standard operating protocols( SOPs) for treatment and carried out various quality improvement interventions that changed the way we provided care to our patients. I must admit those were exciting moments.

I joined the Ghana health service in 2020 and was thrilled to be part of a new facility. Prior to the opening of our facility, the first case of COVID-19 was reported in Ghana and my facility was designated as a COVID treatment center. Being one of the two therapists at the center meant adopting to take on new roles, though challenging, it was a great learning experience on the case management team.

I am currently the team lead for the physiotherapy department. Our aim is to provide patient-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation services to individuals of all ages. I am result oriented and love to take on new roles. I believe every opportunity presents learning moments and we are never too young or old to learn. I love to read, travel, and cook.
